After 22 years of extensive IT experience, Wilma Samuels founded WBSamuels Consulting Group in 2000.

Ms. Samuels has worked for Fortune 500 companies, progressing through the ranks to become part of their executive management teams. She has built an excellent reputation of meeting client needs by delivering multi-million dollar projects, leading large (up to 250 member) teams, and driving business results. She has hands-on experience in several aspects of IT including methodology development and implementation, full life cycle application development, program management, project management, web development, facilitation, and training.

Ms. Samuels began her career at Caterpillar Tractor Company. While there, she worked on a variety of ERP systems and after a few years she joined Hewitt Associates.

While at Hewitt Associates, Ms. Samuels responsibilities broadened significantly. She directed 18 systems professionals in investment software products development and systems integration efforts for Fortune 500 client engagements. She also provided nationwide support for developed software products.

In 1990 Ms. Samuels joined Kraft Foods in their PMO to develop and implement a custom systems development methodology. During her 8 year tenure, she also performed project management, developed RFP's, conducted facilitated workshops, negotiated vendor software and services contracts, and coached development teams. She received numerous accolades for delivering quality, on-time solutions and for being customer service focused.

In 1998 she joined SBC/Ameritech in the Information Technology Service Delivery group as an Executive Director. While there, she had responsibility for a $17 million budget and 250 staff across a five state region. Her responsibilities included vendor management, enterprise-wide help desk, IT service management, infrastructure project/program management, and enterprise methodology integration/deployment. Her organization met or exceeded all service level targets. She also instituted business process reengineering efforts which resulted in a 50% reduction in infrastructure solutioning cycle time.

Today Ms. Samuels provide a broad spectrum of management and IT consulting services in the Chicagoland area. Her goal is to assist clients in delivering quality, on-time solutions. Ms. Samuels directs all projects, staffing them as necessary with internal resources or via strategic partnerships with other IT firms and independent specialists, as needed.

Ms. Samuels holds both BA and MS degrees in Computer Science from Augustana College and Illinois Institute of Technology, respectively. She also completed the E-Business/E-Commerce Certification at University of Illinois.  In addition she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
